Madelyn came into the studio for her Boho Cake Smash Photography Session, to celebrate her first birthday. Although this is Madelyn’s third photo session at Amanda Nicholle Photography, she was still a shy girl at first, not sure if she was ready for smiles yet, but she opened right up when we brought out her cake! She started by picking little pieces off of the top and sides, then she dug right in when she got a taste of that yummy frosting! She had such a blast smashing and squishing, not only her hands but also her feet into her sprinkled cake. This girl loved getting messy and gave Mama and me the best smiles to fill up her gallery!

Madelyn’s Mama brought two adorable outfits to fit with her boho cake smash session perfectly! Her flowery and ruffle-shouldered dress matched well with her flower, branch, and lace backdrop. Her second outfit was a white lace romper that fit her boho flower basket backdrop wonderfully, and showed off her cute little baby legs! Somehow with all the cake smashing fun, she managed to miss caking up most of her romper. All that was caked was the bottom of the romper, as well as her hands, legs, feet, face, and hair. Nothing a warm bath can’t take care of.

I always have a blast photographing for this family. Not only are they laid back and relaxed during their sessions, but they are silly and playful, which makes their sessions even more fun for their kids and for us adults! I can’t wait until their next session. Seeing their children grow up has been such an honor for me.
